The auto transport watchdog
Check before you ship
One place for shippers, dealers, brokers and carriers to check a Google Maps listing, a suspicious message, a carrier's federal records, impersonated authority and stolen vehicles — based on evidence and public sources, never accusations.
What Watchdog covers
Map Watch
Google Maps auto transport listings whose “local” presence may not be real — address, identity and FMCSA checks.
OpenScam Alerts
Suspicious emails, texts, WhatsApp messages, phishing and fake dispatch messages — reviewed and redacted.
OpenFMCSA Lookup
Look up a carrier or broker by USDOT, MC or name using federal records: authority, insurance, fleet size.
OpenAuthority Alerts
Reports of someone dispatching under another company's MC or USDOT authority.
OpenStolen Vehicles
Stolen vehicle reports backed by a police report number and investigating agency.
OpenStolen Plates
Stolen license plate reports by city, state and ZIP — plate numbers are never collected or published.
OpenCarrier Incidents
Documented incident reports about carriers — non-delivery, vehicles held for extra payment, damage disputes. Reviewed before publication.
OpenWhat you can do here
Shared records, separate conclusions
Our sections can share identifiers — a phone number in a suspicious text might also appear on a Google listing. When that happens we show the records side by side. One kind of report never proves another, and a shared phone, email or MC number does not show who did anything. A company named in a scam message may be the one being impersonated.
